What do you already know about nouns in English?
Do a good quick brainstorm.
OK...what about in Arabic?
Often, when learning a new language, in order to make sense out of something strange to us, we can look for and expect the same thing or something similar as in our native tongue.
When we separate the two, it's easier to get our heads wrapped around how they may say things differently or not at all.
In the last live mini tutorial, we got Afro-Arabic creative & looked at infusing African inspired patterns & colour combinations into Arabic 'thuluth' calligraphy. The letters focused on were from group 1 letters of module 1 'Afrabics Bitesize'.
You can catch up with the lives of 'Write Afro-Arabic With Me' here:
- 1 - Write Afro-Arabic With Me - Alif
- 2 - Write Afro-Arabic With Me - Daal
- 3 - Write Afro-Arabic With Me - Dhaal
- 4 - Write Afro-Arabic With Me - Raa'
- 5 - Write Afro-Arabic With Me - Zayn
Today's live mini tutorial had a technical issue and although it was streamed on the advertised date, it didn't save. So my sincerest apologies. It's my first time using this new streaming platform, and so I'm still learning. My face was meant to be alongside the presentation, and got cut out. However, you may still benefit now that it is up and running, thank God!
In this tutorial you'll learn:
- What is a neutral noun in the Arabic language?
