Alif VS. Hamza - Are There Really 28 Letters in The Arabic Alphabet? - P2.

So we established in the last mini-live tutorial that this πŸ‘‰πŸΎ( Ψ£ )πŸ‘ˆπŸΎ

is actually called 'hamza' a'.laa (on)

'alif' & not ❌ 'alif'.

Having said that, you will find that the real 'alif' represented by a vertical line πŸ‘‰πŸΎ( Ψ§ ) πŸ‘ˆπŸΎ is also referred to as 'hamza'.

Confused?
